Scotty Cameron Napa California 2009

I have very little information on what this is from Scotty Cameron’s putter studio but I know one thing I want it. This putter looks beyond beautiful and the etching and typography on the sole of the club is perfect. This putter reminds me a lot of the Studio Design putter of the early to mid 2000’s. Plus it’s limited release which makes it even cooler if you can get your hands on one. Maybe Scotty Cameron would like us at The Constant Golfer to review this potential gem, wink wink.

eBay pick of the week: Scotty Cameron Tour Newport Squareback Prototype Putter

Ebay is perfect for finding either rare or old golf clubs. This time we are looking at bidding on a rare putter. It is a brand new Scotty Cameron Newport prototype putter. It was used by a guy on tour who moved on to other things. The scottycameron.com website shows that this looks a lot like the studio select squareback putter, but I mean come on this is so much cooler it was used on tour. Plus it’s only $1,469 buy it now.

Scotty Cameron Putter Head Cover of the Week

This might be the coolest thing i’ve seen all week. It’s a tour only 1998 Scotty Cameron prototype putter. And it comes with a super rare “bomber jacket” putter headcover. The putter is reminiscent of the Teryllium Insert Newport putter which came out right after this prototype. What is amazing here is that there are only 2500 of these in the world and the bid price as of this second is $400 dollars. Come on guys this is worth so much more.

A Putter from Space

The Ping IN putter series is a traditionalist’s nightmare. This thing looks like UFO built by mid-century modern master, Eero Saarinen. However for those of us more concerned with performance in the flat stick this Ping putter starts to look a lot better. It has a nano-nickel insert in the face to make the face feel solid and responsive, like the venerable steel Ping Anser of yesteryear. Also there is so much real estate behind the putter head that it is much easier to line up a putt than with the more traditional blade putter. This thing will surely help you sink more putts while also offering a nice conversation piece to the guys in your group.
